The workshop is for all who are interested in Material Flow Analysis. You will learn the basics of MFA and get an introduction into the best practice how to use the multiple features and possibilities of freeware STAN 2.6.

Day 1: Basics of MFA and statistics, interactive introduction to STAN 2.6, exercises
Day 2: Supported solving of excercises and own problems

The workshop will be held by Oliver Cenčič from TU Wien, Institute for Water Quality and Resource Management.

His main expertise is in modelling of material flows under the consideration of data uncertainties. Since 2004, he is supervising the development of STAN, and since 2006, he is regularly offering STAN user workshops. He is the author of two chapters in the "Handbook of Material Flow Analysis" (Brunner & Rechberger, 2017) about "Treatment of Data Uncertainties in MFA" and "MFA with software STAN".

Participation Fee:   The Participation fee includes participation in two workshop days, workshop documentation, meals and refreshments.

The participation fee does not include possible evening come together (optional), accommodation and traveling expenses.

Sign up via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) until 27 May 2018. Please state your name, organisation, billing address, telephone number and email address. You will receive a registration confirmation. The invoice covering the participation fee (will not be sent before May) has to be paid by 10 June 2018 latest to guarantee a place in the workshop.

The number of participants is limited to 24 persons, with the registration taking place on a "first come, first served" basis.

If there are not enough registrations (minimum 10), we reserve the right to cancel the announced workshop. The respective final decision will be made shortly after the end of the early bird registration deadline (29 April 2018). So, please wait with booking of travel and accommodation until you get the okay from our side.

If a written cancellation of the participation is received by 10 June 2018, the participation fee will be refunded with the exception of a handling fee of EUR 100. No refunds to the participation fee can be made for cancellations received after 10 June 2018. The nomination of a substitute person is possible.
