Hello there,

I have recently been introduced to STAN and I would like to model a mining process.

When a mass flow occurs, there are usually quality lab tests undertaken to check for analyts present in the material.

For example:

When mining Copper ore, it is common to specify the percentage copper in the ore.

+ 100 measured tonnes of ore (Mass)
+ 5% Cu lab result (Mass Fraction)

It seems that I when I enter the Mass fraction, I have to put in 0.05 kg/kg rather than 5%.

I understand that they are equivalent but the problem is that it is not common to think about the Cu as kg / tonne, etc.

But when I look at Gold processing, the gold processing is entered as grams / tonne where the Mass Fraction is suitable.

Thanks for the remark.
Should be no big deal to implement this feature in a future STAN version.
