Hello there

First of all, thank you for making this programme.

I have a question regarding showing several layers. We are currently mapping the material flow through a company, and would like to be able to display different types of goods separetely. I have found out how to do this by making different layers of materials (www.stan2web.net/NetHelp/default.htm?tur...%2FContentManual.htm)

But now I can't show all layers at once, is there a way to do that? I have activated "use subgood layers", but how can I use these? It doesn't seem as if I can define a layer as a subgood layer, when I create a new layer.

Alternatively, is there a way of "linking" flows, to show that they are the same type of good?

Best regards and thank you in advance,
Anna

Hi Anna,

substances are either (pre-defined) elements of the periodic table or (self-defined) compounds, while subgoods are (self-defined) articles, e.g. wood, plastics, metall and the like. The handling of these types of layers is completely the same. When you incorporate a a layer in your model, you assume that each of the flows in your model contain the respective substance or subgood. The only difference is that when using subgood layers, for each flow, the sum of the mass flows on the layer of goods is the sum of the mass flows on the incorporated subgood layers (e.g. mg = msg1 + msg2 + msg3). When using substance layers, this is not the case (e.g. mg >= ms1 + ms2 + ms3).

You cannot display all layers at once, only the one that has been selected in the toolbar.

All the best, Oliver
