Installation under Linux

Hello

I tried to install STAN on Ubuntu 12.04 with Wine.
The Program does not start up.
Which dependencies are needed for the tool to work?
.NET 2.0 is already installed. Any more? msxml6? other?

Unfortunately we have absolutely no experience with Linux systems using a Windows emulator. But normally .NET 2.0 should do it. Nothing else needed.

I also try to use STAN now with Linux (fubuntu) but still have some problems. I see the last topic on this is 3 months ago, so maybe you succeeded in the meantime?

I installed STAN (2.5.1070) with wine but I cannot open the program as the failure notes "Invalid parameter" and "There is no windows program configured to open this type of file." appear one after the other.

Anybody who can help me?

I have two computers, one is a mac and small netbook with linux; I refuse to use windows. But for my research work I need to use STAN and I hope there is a way to do so!
